Workspace should be comfortable and free from things your thread will find to wrap itself around. Pets should be considered; cats love to play with moving thread, birds love to treat beads as seeds, and when a pet jumps in the middle of your work area it may not be a pretty sight! Safety is also an important issue with pets and children. If they swallow or eat thread and or needles it's can be deadly. Workspace suggestions: A kitchen table, card table, TV tray, floor, bed or easy chair. I prefer sitting upright at a table, but have beaded in a moving car, and even on an airplane. I'm sure someone was puzzled by the thousands of Delica beads that I scattered all about the airplane floor during take off. HINT: no pouring beads during take off. |
